Stories are told within the family about the tailoring profession being passed down through generations, extending even further back to their ancestor, the "Moroccan Al-Amouri," who migrated from Morocco to Al-Quds Al-Sharif in Palestine to support the forces of Salahuddin Al-Ayyubi during that era
The Moroccan grandfather was a tailor by profession, practicing this craft in Jerusalem. It is believed that he, in turn, inherited the profession from his ancestors who lived in Al-Andalus, which is now called Spain. This deep-rooted lineage makes Samer's expertise in tailoring both profound and uniquely exclusive in this field
Samer, in turn, passed on the profession to his children, Saqr al-Amouri and Maram al-Amouri.
Maram al-Amouri is currently studying fashion design in Italy, while Saqr al-Amouri has chosen to practice the craft directly based on what he learned from his father
Samer established "Samer Jamal Tailoring" in 2000 in the Tla' Al-Ali area, marking a new phase in his professional career. This followed his ownership, along with his older brother, of their father's tailoring business, which their father had passed down to them

When you place your first order with us, you will be asked to send a sample measurement with the delivery and receipt officer to Samer Tailoring. This sample can be a piece of clothing that fits you well and is considered a precise reference for your measurements.
Alternatively, you can visit Samer Tailoring directly and open a personal measurement account. We will take all necessary measurements and store them for future use. This service is completely free and takes no more than 5 minutes.
You can also benefit from the "Samer at Your Doorstep" service, where your measurements are taken and a personal measurement account is opened from your home. Please note that this service is not free.
Measuring from the Sample
Upon receiving the sample, our specialized team will take all necessary measurements from the sample with precision and care. These measurements serve as the basis for all future orders.
The system has been tested on over 3,000 clients over approximately two years and has proven highly effective. It has been tested on a variety of garments, including simple items like shirts and jeans, as well as complex garments like dresses and suits. The recorded error rate for this system is 0.03%, which is excellent compared to the error rate that may reach 2% or more when measurements are taken manually each time garments are altered.
Our system surpasses the traditional method because the body naturally changes over time. In traditional methods, body size may change shortly after, leading clients to believe measurements are inaccurate when, in fact, the issue is with the body's natural changes rather than the tailor's work. Additionally, measurements might be inaccurately taken by the tailor due to factors like shoe size or wrinkles in the garment, among other potential issues.
The Samer Tailoring system addresses these challenges effectively by measuring from clothing that the client believes fits well, indicating that these measurements are suitable for the client's body over the long term. This means that stored measurements are more appropriate for the client's body over time.
Furthermore, when taking measurements traditionally for storage, we ask clients about their clothing preferences, whether they prefer fitted, tight, or loose clothing. This information gives us insight into the suitable size. Additionally, we track each piece of clothing received from the client to match their size and update it as needed.
Updating Measurements
The client's measurement account is updated periodically every 365 days. This update ensures that errors are minimized and accounts for natural changes in body size over time.
Recording Measurements in the Database
All measurements taken from the sample are stored in our database linked to your email and phone number. This secure storage ensures quick access to measurements when placing new orders without needing to resubmit the sample.
Future Orders
When you wish to place a new order, you can simply choose the type of garment required from the "Order Your Tailor" page without needing to send new measurements. The stored measurements will be used to fulfill your order accurately.
